Microbot Autopilot - UAV and RC Autopilot GPS INS

Microbot Autopilot

The Microbot AP is a new autopilot designed to simplify the operation of unmanned vehicles. With emphasis on tight integration, high reliability, and maximum flexibility, the Microbotics autopilot enables rapid testing of autonomous UAV and RC autopilot systems and provides a production system at a competitive price.

The Microbotics Autopilot includes the MIDG II INS/GPS, which provides a complete inertial solution for use in RC and UAV Autopilot applications. Other UAV and RC autopilot systems might appear to be smaller and weigh less, but the Microbotics Autopilot includes the ability to drive up to 30 servos, has 12 analog inputs for measurement application (fuel, battery power, altitude, airspeed, etc.), supports a memory card (SD card) for real-time data recording, and has a built-in wireless transceiver - all of this in a single integrated package.

Application Overview

UAV Autopilot
UAV and RC autopilot systems are now being used for aerial surveillance in local police action and for border control. The Microbot AP is currently being used to provide autopilot capabilities to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) for various U.S. government departments and contractors in the defense industry.

Microbot Autopilot - UAV and RC Autopilot GPS INS Features:

Fully Programmable I/O -- the 30 digital I/O pins are user programmable and can be defined as general purpose in/out signals or connected to one of the internal peripheral functions. The digital I/O system is based on a programmable gate array, so that application specific peripherals can be added with a simple firmware upgrade. This allows the autopilot to support SPI, CAN, and other peripherals as needed.
